I installed the hometown code and got through fixing all the problems in compile, all except one.

This is the error I *WAS* getting

hometowns.c: In function `NATION_DATA* fread_nation(char*)':
hometowns.c:387: invalid conversion from `const char*' to `char*'

For this line:

char *word = feof(fp) ? "END" : fread_word(fp);

*********************

I fixed that with this:

sprintf(word, "%s", feof(list) ? "END" : fread_string(list));

And got the mud to compile through that error. And then, out of nowhere I am greeted with a slew of these errors.

o/imc.o(.bss+0x0): In function `imc_crypt(char const*)':
/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/imc.c:158: multiple definition of `hometown_list'
o/i3.o(.bss+0x0):/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/i3.c:135: first defined here
o/imc.o(.bss+0x40): In function `imc_crypt(char const*)':
/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/imc.c:168: multiple definition of `nation_list'
o/i3.o(.bss+0x40):/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/i3.c:146: first defined here
o/websvr.o(.bss+0x0): In function `send_buf(int, char const*)':
/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/websvr.c:159: multiple definition of `hometown_list'
o/i3.o(.bss+0x0):/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/i3.c:135: first defined here
o/websvr.o(.bss+0x40): In function `web_printf(int, char const*, ...)':
/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/websvr.c:170: multiple definition of `nation_list'
o/i3.o(.bss+0x40):/home/mud/arcana/arcana/afkmud/src/i3.c:146: first defined here
o/act_comm.o(.bss+0x0): In function `get_lang(char const*)':

********************************************

Should I go back to how I had it before? And if so, how do I fix the first error?
If not, how do I fix this stuff?

Thanks in advance!

So, I found out the first error has nothing to do with the second. But I still need help with that second one to fix that slew of errors.

I went into where hometown_list was defined and this is what I have...

HOMETOWN_DATA *hometown_list[MAX_HOMETOWNS];
NATION_DATA *nation_list[MAX_NATIONS];

Let me know please!

It looks like you are using both i3 and imc. Perhaps just choose one and disable the other?

Uh, wait a minute here.

What do I3 and IMC2 have to do with the nations code anyway? Why are they giving off these errors like this? Something is surely not right here.

Prphecy, could you explain exactly how you installed the nations code?
