So I just compiled and ran smaug and connected to it but I'm having problems. I can connect to it, but I can't do anything. When I connected as admin/admin, none of the commands worked. They all came back as "huh?". The only command I was able to use was "dance"(I'm sure other various emotes would work as well).

I connected as a regular player and had similar issues. Nothing I typed in worked. I can't use any of the exits, can't say anything, can't look, nothing. Being entirely a noob at this there are several places where I may have messed up the compiling or something but I'm not sure where.

Is there anyway you guys could help me?

There are two or three other threads with solutions to this exact issue.

Just one example: http://www.smaugmuds.org/index.php?a=topic&t=4323

If you're compiling on CYGWIN, you have to make sure that the CYGWIN line of the Makefile is uncommented.

Where is the CYGWIN line? I opened the makefile, but I'm not sure which one is the CYGWIN line.
