Was the web server included in AFK mud available as a snippet at one point? I seem to remember it, if its there and I just can't find it, what category was it in? Thanks.

The verion in AFKMud has never been separately distributed. At one time it was for Rom muds, but the Smaug port has never been available outside of either the Resortmud codebase or AFKMud. I don't think any other Smaug bases have it.

Is this similiar to the one that LrdElder has on his site? I think you guys ported it over from the same ROM code, but I could be mistaken. The link is here.

The Wolfpaw server is derived from the same source as the Resortmud server. Both originated from the Rom snippet. The AFKMud version was derived from the Resortmud fork of the code and has nothing to do with the code LrdElder has on his page. Though they will perform more or less the same function.

If you're just trying to extract it for your own use, it's not that hard to separate. It has only a few hooks to the rest of the mud. The bulk of it is contained in the websvr.c and web.h files, along with what's in public_html.

Ok, thanks, I've taken a small bit of it out, thanks for the help. I did write some of my own HTML code, but it works on an update, and has alot more functionality, rooms, ships, help files, planets, clans, but is probably alot more resource intensive.
