However, I'm curious as to why you commented out set_fighting()?

It was causing crashes when I killed the mob with slash. It would cause a bug if I slashed him without killing him. I never gdb'd it to see what was happening, but it crashed from it.

Does damage take care of sanctuary? Might be worth checking that it's not being double-counted.

Yes, it is being called in damage as well, so it is double counting. Should take out the ifcheck for sanctuary in your fskills.
