Man, Haven't seen many code bases, but this doubtlessly the most undocumented I've ever seen.
I know I'm testing your patience here, but no more than mine is being tested, I'm sure.
I've been running startup from /src directory the whole time. I don't know how to execute a file from a directory I'm not in.
When I do so (nohup ./startup &
, it goes:
$ noup: appending output to 'nohup.out'
... and then just jump a line and stands there blinking at me. No new prompt.
Then, If I kill the script, or just hit enter, it returns with something like:
+ Exit 1 nohup ./startup
While it is waiting there, I open another cygwin window and type ps to see if any new progs are running, but nothing. Something should show on 'ps' if it was running correctly, no?
The nohup.out file contains 2 lines:
/usr/bin/nohup: /swr/swr1fuss/src/startup: /bin/csh: bad interpreter: Permission denied
/usr/bin/nohup: line 79: /swr/swr1fuss/src/startup: No error
It's the same deal with all of these:
Just making those directories doesn't work. Is Csh some lib i need for Cygwin?
I've been looking, but can't find anything like that.
Any and all input is appreciated. Thank you,
