Hey guys,

I installed Custom Ansi Color -V3.0 on Chronicles code base about a month ago. I know you said use Sadiq's that it was not compatible, but it seems to fit in just right with a few calls added.

However, as I go bragging about that....
I have noticed the following problems, and I am curious if you may be able to tell me some suggestions on how to fix this.

when I use mpechoat and such in mobprograms colors with & sign in front of them don't work. However, colors with _Yell for example would work. Odd.

Another thing I noticed, when I installed your custom slay snippet, the & color codes of the die slay don't work. Well that is my problem, and I'm sure its a simple fix, of just a call I am missing or something, but if this rings any bells for you please let me know.

Thanks,

Vladaar

Interesting. I'd always been under the impression it was totally incompatible. But after I went back and looked, I realized it's more or less bypassing and replacing everything in the Smaug system as it is anyway. So the final fix is easy since it's in act() that you're having the trouble. So.....

comm.c:

Locate the following in the act() function:

	if (to->desc)
	{
	  if ( AType == AT_COLORIZE )
	  {
	     if ( txt[0] == '&' )
	     	send_to_char_color( txt, to );
	     else
	     {
	        set_char_color(AT_MAGIC, to );
		write_to_buffer( to->desc, txt, strlen(txt) );
	     }
	  }
	  else {
	     set_char_color(AType, to);
	     write_to_buffer( to->desc, txt, strlen(txt) );
	  }
	}

Change that all to read as follows:

	if (to->desc)
	{
        set_char_color(AType, to);
        send_to_char( txt, to );
	}

This should work for pretty much every Smaug deriv for this install so I'll be adding it to the install instructions now.
