Danger: Critical - Game crash due to memory corruption
Found by: Kasji
Fixed by: Samson, and Kasji

hotboot.c, load_ship

Locate:
            if( !str_cmp( word, "target0" ) )
            {
               char *temp = fread_string( fp );
               SHIP_DATA *target = get_ship( temp );

               ship->target0 = target;
               DISPOSE( temp );
               fMatch = TRUE;
               break;
            }

            if( !str_cmp( word, "target1" ) )
            {
               char *temp = fread_string( fp );
               SHIP_DATA *target = get_ship( temp );

               ship->target1 = target;
               DISPOSE( temp );
               fMatch = TRUE;
               break;
            }

            if( !str_cmp( word, "target2" ) )
            {
               char *temp = fread_string( fp );
               SHIP_DATA *target = get_ship( temp );

               ship->target2 = target;
               DISPOSE( temp );
               fMatch = TRUE;
               break;
            }

Change to:
            if( !str_cmp( word, "target0" ) )
            {
               char *temp = fread_string( fp );
               SHIP_DATA *target = get_ship( temp );

               ship->target0 = target;
               STRFREE( temp );
               fMatch = TRUE;
               break;
            }

            if( !str_cmp( word, "target1" ) )
            {
               char *temp = fread_string( fp );
               SHIP_DATA *target = get_ship( temp );

               ship->target1 = target;
               STRFREE( temp );
               fMatch = TRUE;
               break;
            }

            if( !str_cmp( word, "target2" ) )
            {
               char *temp = fread_string( fp );
               SHIP_DATA *target = get_ship( temp );

               ship->target2 = target;
               STRFREE( temp );
               fMatch = TRUE;
               break;
            }

The 3 reads of the temp variable from the file are handled via fread_string, wish is the hashed read function. A classic case of mismatched disposal routines.
