I go by the name Keberus Maou'San. I have been mudding for about 6 years, coding for 4. My cousin (Trelar Lareh) got me hooked on MUDs when I was 16. My first mud was The Dark Hand a SWR based mud that was pretty popular in its day. After TDH went down indefinitely we started playing another SWR derivative called Fall of the Empire. After playing for a while we decided to do more for the game by becoming builders, and worked our way up the ranks to head builders. We put out 3 of the areas that are in the FotE source. FotE eventually shutdown for various reasons.
A while after FotE shutdown we found out that the source was going to be released and got a copy from Tawnos. At the time I knew nil about coding, after a few months I thought I really knew something, but now I realize that I still don't know much. After creating such MUDs as Rise of the Republic, Rebirth of the Galaxy, then Revival of the Republic. Trelar, who is my fellow coder, and I decided to take some time away from coding to work on our schooling. After realizing that when you are trying not to do something is when you want to do it the most we started up a new SWR based off of all of our best parts of previous MUDs and called it Descent of Darkness.
Shortly after starting DoD we decided to start giving back to the MUD community (FotE specifically)
and create FotEv1.2 and 2.0 (not to be confused with Samson's FUSS packages). After v2.0 Trelar decided to do his own thing so now I try to maintain the 2.0 release by adding enhancements that I think make the game easier work with, and applying all the bugfixes found here and posted at FotE Forums
I know that I put this in my changelogs but just in case you guys have never read them I would like to extend a special thanks to Samson and all of you who contribute your bugfixes to this site. If it weren't for you guys...well I guess there would be a lot more bugs still out there! LOL!
