void delete_project( PROJECT_DATA * project )
{
   NOTE_DATA *nlog, *tlog;

   nlog = project->last_log;
   while( nlog )
   {
      UNLINK( nlog, project->first_log, project->last_log, next, prev );
      tlog = nlog->prev;
      free_note( nlog );
      nlog = tlog;
   }
   DISPOSE( project->coder );
   STRFREE( project->description );
   DISPOSE( project->name );
   STRFREE( project->owner );
   STRFREE( project->status );
   STRFREE( project->date );
   UNLINK( project, first_project, last_project, next, prev );
   DISPOSE( project );
}

This is the part that isn't right
      UNLINK( nlog, project->first_log, project->last_log, next, prev );
      tlog = nlog->prev;

First unlink it from its list and all, then point to something that is now NULL.
I'd suggest changeing the order of those around.
