I started working on Smaug1.4a to long ago to even bother remembering lol. In the time I have worked on it I had restarted quite a few times from the stock Smaug. Although I don't use the FUSS package I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for giving out info on bugs and possible fixes for them, and to Samson for doing it all into a package for people to use. For ones who have never downloaded Smaug1.4a and added all these fixes by hand trust me it saves alot of time lol. Fiqured it was long past due to thank everyone for playing their part in the community and helping make it better.
Later all.

Just to second Remcon's sentiments, having originally started back in 1996 with Smaug 1.2, and then getting side tracked by real life for a few years, I took back up with Smaug 1.4a about a year or so ago and then quickly switched to SmaugFUSS 1.4 because of how many bug fixes were to be involved.. I've since hand coded all the reported fixes that have come since to the point of upgrading to SmaugFUSS 1.6 entirely one bug fix at a time. Not to mention all the wonderful snippets I've utilized from the community in general... I can't begin to thank the members of the community who've made all this possilbe for me enough, and certainly wouldn't ever presume to think that I could ever properly finish thanking everyone because there are always new folks joining the community as well. Therefore, I do my part and try to contribute too, but I will always owe a debt of gratitude to those who've come before and since.

Aye, Samson in perticular we owe you for your countless hours of
helpful words of wisdom. Your witty sense of humor, and nonstop coding. Even
though I am sure you have had it eat into your real life time. You all have
given me new hopes for the smaug tree of muds. I had become fearsome of
what I was to do when no one seemed willing to support or help with
smaugwiz, which is where my origins began. Then along comes Conner who
pointed me to this fine codebase and the great people here and their
consistant efforts to keep us all happy. Many will come and go but you all
have done great efforts to this project and those who would learn its secrets.
I have not found anyone would laughs at my being an amature coder, for I
spent most of my life as a hardware technician and network admin. I have
not the schooling for coding and must struggle through it self taught. I cant
begin to say the right words to express my thanks to you all and your
ability to help one who is not so wise in this muddy world of code, but I hope
you all will take heart that some out there do appreciate all you do and
don't take for granted what you offer up nor use it with out proper credit or
for nefarious purposes. Some of us out there (everyone I have met here or
on IMC so far..) still have a code of ethics and I will be so bold as to extend
a beer to Samson any time he should happen my way...
