In theory yes, but I can't see much point beyond trying to turn it into a site-to-site transport system. There would be little point in simulating the flight by passing multiple room descriptions to the players. Doing this would require a fair amount of work to pull off too.

I'm not sure what exactly you are trying to accomplish here, but you could probably achieve what you are going for with just a few cool rprogs.

Hmm...dragonflight with no overland. What Eminorik said was probably the easiest way to do things. If you have no overland, all you are doing is sending a whole bunch of room descriptions to the player...much like what we did with boats. Just set up a few rprogs and propel them through a few rooms.

You can even pretend they're on a dragon if you want ;P

Well, without actually posting any progs, here is more what I had in mind...

Player pays mob for dragonflight service and is then sent to a room full of (groups of?) dragons named individually by destinations in the price the player paid.

Have some sort of social, such as point, choose, pick, or something similar, upon the execution of this social to the appropriate mob, the player begins a set of room transfers and possibly private emotes to simulate dragon flight.

Player arrives at destination, sending a message to the room of their arrival, and of the dragon flying off.

You could do this for multiple "travel agencies," possibly just setting aside a seperate area to handle the entire set of scenarios. It's not too hard, really, just takes some imagination and a good understanding of the progs

Yeah, yeah, yeah ;) So I don't talk as descriptively as I write things That's pretty much what I had in mind, and it wouldn't even require that much knowledge of progs, just some basics would take care of that. Especially if you are using seperate mobs for each destination. Makes it really easy. I'm thinking maybe once the person pays, they get transported to a "Dragon Stall" where each exit is a different destination. They can go in the direction and then choose to use that dragon for flight which would start the whole process. You could even include a room that would refund the money and send the player back outside. Or you could make it so that they could freely enter and exit and have to pay the dragon or dragon's attendant the money to use the dragon, which would require them to be sure before choosing. *shrugs* There's hundreds of spins you can put on this, if that's what you want to do with it ;)
