The more I look over the archery snippet code, the more confused I become. Is there any documents on it at all? Like what values are suppose to be what?

For example, this line of code tells me that v4 is the distance for a bow:
max_dist = URANGE( 1, bow->value[4], 10 );

But later on in another function, it contradicts itself:
if( bow->value[4] != arrow->value[5] )

v5 for the arrow is suppose to be the projectile type, so I think. Why is it comparing it to the distance?

The reason I bring this up is because the archery skill no longer raises from bows/arrows.

I've had problems with this snippet in the past as well. I haven't installed it yet on my new mud so I haven't had the chance to look at it again being better at coding now then I was back then. I'll probably put it in sometime though.

I don't even see any learn_from_success's in the snippet. I see some learn_from_failure's though.

Hmm. Yep. Will need to go over the snippet code since I had incorporated it into AFKMud before making it separate. Which means the learn_from_success calls don't exist because we reworked our "learn from use" system. Unfortunately it's not going to be a high priority thing so don't expect this to get fixed anytime soon.
