hey sorry to bug you guys again,

i was just wondering what file i edit to set a starting vnum. like when a new player enters, i want them to enter the game at vnum 13400 instead of at Tsythia in the Darkhaven Academy

Btw, you're not bothering anyone by asking questions, especially nice easy ones, but it doesn't hurt to post what you found to solve your question rather than just that you solved it in case any others new enough to not see the problem run into the problem too.

For example, in this case you could've posted something like: "Nevermind, I found it. It's in mud.h listed as
#define ROOM_VNUM_SCHOOL	  10300
".

AFKMud keeps those vnums in mudcfg.h on the theory that that file won't need to be patched very often. In hindsight it probably didn't make much difference, but what's done is done :)

Well, if you're having to do a full make clean after any change to those vnums either way, probably not. *L*
