Hello everyone, I am currently working on adding a morgue type system to afkmud 1.76a. I plan to have it set up so that untill level 10 your corpse goes to the morgue and after that you can use the healer mob as a undertaker as afkmud seems to be allready set up for. The problem is i was going to do this based off the morgue snippet and a few if()s. With the new code there is the continent code for sending players. unfortunatly when i do a if(ch->level) in mudcfg.c it sends both the dead player and there corpse to the vnum i set. I would really appreciate any help you can give. I am not a expert programmer and am learning as i go.


I have figured alittle of it out myself. Iv found that the code uses the the recover corpse from the healer code. But when setting the room to send corpse there it still sends both to the vnum. Also could someone please explain to me the healer code part. I understand it sends the corpse to the HEALER. But i dont have a healer and there is no healer act flag. What am I missing. The more I look thru the code the more I feel clueless. Thanks again for any help.

The corpse recovery code is actually transporting the person to the room where the healer usually sits. If there's no healer there, then it's just another empty room. Until level 10, dead players have their corpses transported to the temple with them. This makes it easier on them at first and gives them a chance to get used to the game. After that, devotion to a deity is possible and they should seriously consider that since death past level 10 means the corpse stays put, but the victim is transported to the temple.
