I am trying to work out how to make a speech program that will echo what is said in a room.

Is there any way to store something that is said and take parts from it and echo it in the room?

I am using AFKMud 1.64

Not that I am aware of. The mudprog code is one of the few areas I still don't know all that well, but I don't think what you want is possible under the existing system.

The MudProg code does not support any variables, so no. You'd have to write your own functionality to do this.

If I ever got back my ambition to tear up the mudprog code, I might just make your wish come true, however. ;)
