How would I add a Plane? I want an area where if you die, you go to a different place than anywhere else.

Sounds to me like you just need a new area.
Create a new area called afterlife or what ever you want to name it. Do your desc's mobs programs etc.. on how they come back to life, then change the death vnum to one you specify in the afterlife. So lets say your death plane, you have an angel or avatar or something you want them sent to. Change the death vnum in mudcfg.h in the appropriate line. Though I wouldn't do that until you have your death area completed and installed. Do a make clean and it should work fine.
