Version 1.60c of AFKMud has been released.

This is a bugfix/maintenance release.
A patch file exits in the download area.

To apply: place the patch file in your afkmud directory and use the following:
patch -p1 tempnum changed to int instead of sh_int. OLC bugs. [Samson]
Renumber command fixed. Wasn't working. [Samson]

Non-Bugfix alterations:

Added a command flag for mudprog commands to supress listings. [Samson]
Completed the Oasis OLC support for trap editing. [Samson]
Board pruning now handled daily by timer. [Xorith]
Login greeting now supports full color without confirmation. [Samson]
Reserved names list now stored only offline. [Samson]
Naming policy now spelled out if a newbie picks a bad name. [Samson]
Removed do_mpapply and associated prog support. Redundant code. [Samson]
Non-authed PC's can now level to 9 instead of 5. [Samson]

Non-Code related changes:

help.are file trimmed of wasted or outdated entries. [Samson]

Thank you very Much Samson

Patched just fine only had 2 hunks fail handler.c & mud.h

will take a look at those and see if I can manually edit

Kilroy

Update:

Okay - Mayhaps I am losing it -

patching file src/handler.cHunk #1 FAILED at 2200.1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file src/handler.c.rej

If I am understanding the patch routine correctly - it looks through the file for a referance point. and then either adds or removes lines accordingly?

I did a search through my handler.c and could not find the
location = get_room_index( ROOM_VNUM_ALATIA_RECALL );

could that be why it failed ?

LOL!

2 hunks fail. Muhahaha...

I've had to pretty much apply the patch manually.

And durn you Samson! Quit it with the little space changes. *mumble*

Heh, be thankful he's nicer than me!

Last time I maintained a mud codebase, after struggling with all the places where some people felt like using tabs, and others just refused to indent things AT ALL... I spent a few days running every single file through indent (and yes, I even built my own .indent.pro file so it understood all the evil data types).

Voila! Inconsistant whitespace gone... of course anyone who had hand-modified patches cursed my name for months to come....

Heh, trust me. If I knew how to use indent that well, it would already have been done to my liking and Xorith would have been cursing my name.... wait... he already is....

As for handler.c, you can just download the full package and compare the results to see what's missing.

Note:

new_auth.h still has the reserve data structs and the like in it, which appear to be useless
