hi all. i'm having a problem with creating objects with high vnums -- 750000 (750,000) as it were. i'm able to assigne that object vnum to myself but i still can't create the object. am i missing something?

You'll need to go into mud.h and raise MAX_VNUM from 100,000.

It was limited at 100,000 because it seemed like a reasonable number to place an initial limit at for most starting admins.

Another solution, which requires a bit of initial coding, and less work in the long run would be to add a field to system_data called maxvnum or something and then add it to cset so you can raise and lower it from within the game without requiring a recompile and hotboot.
