Welcome and all that ;)

This forum was created to allow people to ask building questions of any nature. However, there are a few things that I'd like you to be aware of:

1) Please, please, please make sure and say what codebase you are using, as there are many nuances to each codebase that will affect certain parts of building.

2) If it's NOT AFKMud-based, we'll try to help as much as possible, but there are no promises. If it IS our codebase, there is a good chance that we'll at least have some clue ;)

3) This is NOT a full-support forum. We will try and help you out, but please don't hover the forum flipping out when we haven't answered within 10 minutes. :P

Hmm...I think that's about it. Explain in as much detail what you're trying to do or are having problems with for the best results.

I'd just like to add to this by saying that if your mud is Smaug-based in general there's a fair degree of probability someone here can help. So don't be discouraged by the fact that most of us have become assimilated by the AFKMud building commands

I wanted to thank you guys for adding this disscussion area. We are just starting up this mud and I am positive we will have some silly questions about things.

It looks like we are going with your codebase, so it will make some of the answers easier to come by. I am sure that nothing I come up with anytime soon has not been done before.

They type of questions we are likly to be coming to you with are like, how to set up a wilderness? Maybe that should be a good place to start. I'll post the question in its own thread.

I just posted here to thank you for starting a building board.
