Two features ive seen in other muds that would rock in afkmud

one: they gave you a buffer you could enter up to ten commands a time,
so for instance '10 e' would make the command run ten times.

two: i saw the recent development of a 'travel' command that
followed the road sector until the road forked or ended, allowing
players to quickly move from one place to another.

In both cases they made movement between areas on an overworld quite
quick, so players still got to use and see the landscape as opposed to
just using teleports of some kind.

Any ideas how or if one could apply these using the existing code?
I see code in there to keep a mob following just road sectors.. maybe
that could be used? Any help appreciated, im an artist.. not much of a progger :)

As far as I know AFKmud has an alias feature so you could set up speedwalking fairly easy. Like you could make an alias repot and go ahead and enter what you wanted it to do when you typed repot. So simple enough to use it for speedwalking from one place to another.

ok, thats not ideal..

but whats the dividing syntax for multiple commands ie

alias mv n,n,n,n,n,n, or alias mv n;n;n;n;n;n neither seems to work

The codebase also has a run command which will let you run in a direction, either until you can't anymore or a specified number of steps. Speedwalking the way you want was never planned, won't be added now, and is best left to client programs anyway where it belongs.
