Hmm, I'll bet that this one's a known site issue.. let's conduct a quick "Search" to see what we find..

Well, hey, check this out: BUG: do_bashdoor oo, and how about this one too: Error when trying to show preview of post? Check out Samson's responses in both of these, I think it's been covered already. Also, FYI, when QSFP sites like this generate output like that a duplicate of that screen gets emailed to the site admin, so Samson prolly already knows that you got it too.

...:sigh: Sorry for the flippant response, been dealing with another site today that I'm helping beta test for and, well, with 71,000 beta testers there are just entirely too many kids beta testing who just ..aren't helping... :(

Wow Conner, didn't expect that from you. What is it with Smaugmuds.org and mudbytes.net these days. Seems like just look for ways to argue/complain/flame everyone.

I was just trying to help and report a bug. Sorry I didn't do a search before hand. Your post could have been much more informative. I've never been anything but helpful on here or to ask questions about stuff I don't know.

Oh well...

It's a known issue, I'll see if I can track down a fix for it this weekend. I realize the bug is annoying, time just isn't as freely available as it once was for me.

I wouldn't be too quick to blame the sites in general for people having a bad day. It happens. 71,000 unruly beta testers would probably drive any of us insane. As would 75 calls from users who probably shouldn't be using a computer all thinking they know better than you do how to fix it :P ( begs the question of why they have to call me ..... )

This bug should be fixed now.

I did apologize for my attitude, and, otherwise, it was a valid point.

How exactly is it that you feel my post could have been much more informative? I pointed out that it was already a known issue that Samson was working on and that Samson already was getting a copy of what you'd posted in his email anyway, what else could I have told you? The actual problem that Samson hadn't identified yet at that point? (or announced yet, for that matter.)

Thank you for being understanding.. and I agree, it really does make you just want to tell them "well, if you knew what to do and I didn't, why'd you call me for the answer?"

Wow, that was pretty quick, what was it? Or should I ask over at qsfportal.com instead?

So, you're saying that by rewording my post to be more pleasant it would have somehow changed it's content to become more informative?

No, it was like me saying "I know this comes off as a bit rude, and I apologize for any offense you may take from it, but I already typed it and am not willing to retype it all more nicely since it does fully cover my answer even if it's not as polite as I usually am and this is why I'm not feeling particularly generous."

Ok, glad to hear that you're a better person than I am, I have bad days and try to avoid posting on them, emphasis on try, especially given how infrequently I have a bad enough day to let something scathing go anyway.

But, as you said, the bug is now fixed and it's all already done and thus irrelevant.
