Hi. I'm self-taught in a relatively short period of time, so I hope this question isn't so elementry that it's ignored.

I'm creating a spell and I'm attempting to do it utilizing the existing smaug system so that it's activated by do_cast. My problem (due to my experience level and this being my first attempt at such a thing), is that my spell, relocate, will require processing two arguments, not just one. The spell will relocate an object in ch's inventory to victim's inventory as long as victim is not in a noastral room. Thus, two targets.

I tried to figure out if I could use ranged_target_name for this somehow but I'm rather confused at the moment.

Any comments on this topic would be greatly appreciated, even if someone can just think of a spell that uses more than one argument I could look at for an example, that's all I really need.

Bye bye

*blinks*....erm...

Ok I get points for at least putting the 'tard question of the day in the right forum category this time......don't I?

Hehe... sheez. Well I never played SMAUG as a long term player, I thought I was cheezeballing the idea of EOS's transfer. Had no idea the blooming thing was there. *grumbles*

Thanks for replying rather than me doing the rest of the week doing the thing THEN finding out and comparing code and finding out mine sucked anyway. haha

Yay MudPlanet!

Trust me, we were all new once, and made what others may consider rather elementary mistakes (hell, I still do :P). :) I'm just glad to see someone who is willing to try, and yes you do get points for putting it in the right place. Most people new to MUDding in any of the areas, from coding to playing, jump straight to the other categories. So, bravo and thank you. :)

And one minor thing people call me anal about, but... eh... it's MUD Planet, not MudPlanet. ;)
