This one is slightly circumstatial. But I've been able to repeat it so its fairly common. What's happening is in make_prototype_ship, when certain ships are bought (MC-90s specifically) thier home is being set as the planet->name and not the starsystem. The thing is, for ships of that class they are automatically thrown into the starsystem after copyover, and if the home variable is supposed to be the starsystem name, instead of the planet...well you get the jist.

Easy fix though:
In ships.c, make_prototype_ship
find:
   if( ch->in_room->area && ch->in_room->area->planet )
      ship->home = STRALLOC( ch->in_room->area->planet->name );
   else
      ship->home = STRALLOC( "" );

and change to:
/* Added in check to make sure all things cruiser+ get put in
    the right starsystem by Keberus, thanks Guido */
    if(ch->in_room->area && ch->in_room->area->planet)
    {
        if( ship_prototypes[ship_type].class >= SHIP_CRUISER &&  ch->in_room->area->planet->starsystem )
           ship->home = STRALLOC( ch->in_room->area->planet->starsystem->name );
        else
           ship->home = STRALLOC( ch->in_room->area->planet->name );
    }
    else
       ship->home = STRALLOC( "" );

Edit: Updated and fixed a problem, checked the code and it works correctly now
