Saving area changes/new characters from Cygwin?

This is probably a very simple problem, something I'm overlooking, but I can't make permanent changes to areas when I run the .exe from cygwin, and of course, all changes are nulled as soon as I x out of the window and ./swreality.exe again. Is there any way to terminate running the .exe from cygwin in a way that will afford permanent changes?

Not sure exactly what you mean...but one way to terminate the executable is to type "kill <PID>" PID is the process id from ps ux.

There should be no technical reason for why areas would not be saveable in Cygwin. Are you using the savearea/foldarea commands appropriately? If not then that's why you're not getting the changes saved.

Ah, looks like I jumped the gun on this one. You're right, I completely forgot about the savearea command. Thanks for the help.
