When I compile swfote 2.0 I get these errors

save.c:2308: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
save.c:2310: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type

Here is the code

if ( de->d_name[0] != '.' )
{
sprintf(strArea, "%s%s", CORPSE_DIR, de->d_name );

My guess is it has something to do with the de->d_name

any help appreciated

You need to get in touch with the people in charge of SWFOTE 2.0 to be sure, but it looks like they forgot to include the dirent file.

Didn't notice he posted here too. Here are solutions:
http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/bbshowpost.php?bbsubject_id=5884&page=999999

Seems like he is having issues with the FUSS version.
ok, here is why I do bnot use the fuss ... I have tried changin the dir, but I think is something to do with the make file.

make[1]: *** No rule to make target `/usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.0.1/include/stdarg.h', needed by `o/imc.o'. Stop.

the "usr/lib/gcc/i386-redhat-linux/4.0.1/include/stdarg.h" is found in .depend

In the FUSS version
He is getting that from the .depend
while in the src directory type
rm .depend
make
make

Yea you have to do two makes the first one will fail because of no .depend (it then makes it empty)
so the second make can continue fine

In SW:FotE 2.0 we didnt forget anything needed to compile it...the only problem is he was trying to get it to work with CYGWIN....as far as the ldl problem ...open up Makefile and comment out the line after the part that says "Comment out if getting undefined refences to ldl"

Btw: There is a complete walkthrough of how to make swfote 2.0 compat with cygwin on the swfote fourms....swfote.sourceforge.net

Later,
KeB

Well since GNU or whoever was too shortsighted to make sure makedepend was one of their things instead of wherever it did come from, I've removed this from the FUSS packages.
