so i'm wondering how to set the colors for *ALL* help files.

i want to set the heading red and the body of the help white.

the weird thing is, half are already red/white and the other half are stock red/green! heh.

is there an easy way to make this happen without having to go through every single help title and add in the colors?

thanks!

You have to go through every helpfile to make that change. There is no "heading" or "body" to help text. The code only tracks the keywords and the full text.

The easiest way to do this would be to open your help.are file in a text editor and search for &G and where appropriate, change it to &W. Not an easy task, but not the most daunting you'll encounter either.. you might want to set your search to not be case sensitive either, btw.

The only problem with that approach is that the default color the code sets for it is green, and it's not done by using &G tokens in the help text.

Hmm, then why was he saying that half of them are already red/green and the other half are already red/white? Maybe I was misunderstanding what he was after. *shrug*

Because in Smaug, some of the help text had been formatted with color tags by the devs.

See, that's the part I thought he was talking about. If he's looking for a way to code in something to make every help file have a red heading and green body text, he'd have to rewrite the help system to store headings separately and then rewrite all the help entries so they each have a heading.
