Shouldn't that be using...

   if( !IS_NPC( ch )
       && !xIS_SET( ch->act, PLR_HOLYLIGHT )
       && !IS_AFFECTED( ch, AFF_TRUESIGHT ) && !IS_AFFECTED( ch, AFF_INFRARED ) && room_is_dark( ch->in_room, ch ) )
   {
      set_char_color( AT_DGREY, ch );
      send_to_char( "It is pitch black ... \r\n", ch );
      show_char_to_char( ch->in_room->first_person, ch );
      return;
   }


instead?? That one seems to work correctly with AFKmud..

Actually, I thought that do_exits shouldn't have
show_char_to_char( ch->in_room->first_person, ch );
in it at all...

You remember how I warned in that big long post about the security issues not to do things while half asleep or otherwise distracted etc? The same applies for applying small bugfixes too :)
