hey guys,

so i want to change the room names color from white to cyan. i want to change ALL of my room names throughout the entire MUD. i know there's an easy way to do that rather than going to thousands and thousands of rooms individually :) i also want to change the room descriptions colors.

does anyone on here know of an easy way to make this happen? :)

thanks!

I think you can change default custom colors. Use the color command, and overwrite the default theme.

The 'color' command is in SmaugFUSS. It was a snippet that long ago got installed and took care of alot of issues in Smaugs color handling.

Sorry, I didn't think to answer this question earlier lol.
mud.h find
#define AT_RMNAME	   AT_WHITE

Change it to this
#define AT_RMNAME	   AT_CYAN

do a make clean and then a reboot and it should be good to go.

Just keep in mind that makes the room names cyan for everyone. I also seem to recall that stock 1.4 had a colorize command that could be used to change some things around. Never got too into exactly what, but I think you could do stuff like changing room names to a different color. But again, this was global for all players. Yet another reason to be using FUSS. Each person gets to choose their own style :)
