Okay, I am still alive, and I am working on updates, but I'm holding off on releasing them because of a possible new distribution method, so keep an eye out and look for more information

I do, but I wasn't paying real close attention to the fact that this was a news post and not an admin post. So I thought you were talking about something different :)

Does this include posting up some of the semi-recent bug fixes into the bugfix lists? Would be a shame for those to get lost in translation, as we haven't had any for a while (not that that's a bad thing!). :imp:

Nothing will change about the site or how we do things except for how we actually distribute FUSS stuff. At least I hadn't planned on any. I've got all of that stuff taken care of though, just need to workout this stuff and how we'll use it.

So are the updates cataloged somewhere so they don't get lost? I thought there were about 2 or 3 bugs found and fixes proposed that were waiting in the wings. I hate to see the information get lost, although I know you've been busy. As long as it's written down somewhere, I'm cool with waiting. Already fixed in my code.

Yeah, they're in a .txt file on my desktop ready to be posted.

Not that it mattes, but I vote you use git for distribution. :)

We looked into that but git won't accept empty folders into a repository without a bunch of cheesy hacks like dumping dummy files in them. Dummy files the Smaug code won't ignore without updating the code.

So due to a recent harddrive malfunction, I have to redo all my latest updates for the project. And I updated my VPS to the latest Gcc/G++ so I've gotta work out those issues now on top of everything else.

Alright, Life keeps getting away from me, I've got the changes worked out for SmaugFUSS at least, just have to remember the options we use for putting into a tarball since my script I used to use mysteriously vanished.
